5. Confirm that the valve ball is in the "off" position, which can easily be taken out of the valve body, and then remove the valve seat
6. Gently push the valve stem downwards from the hole in the valve body until it is completely removed, then remove the O-ring and the packing under the valve stem
7. Disassemble the drive device in sequence - actuator, connecting bracket, lock washer, valve stem nut, butterfly spring, Glenn, wear plate, and valve stem packing
